1950s Esso Space Captain Premium Headband
:
This 4" by 22 1/2” thin cardboard die-cut headband likely issued as a premium from Canadian Esso gas stations in the 1950s. Neat design depicts large silver colored wings sprouting from “Esso Imperial Dealer Space Captain” square with blank provided for name. Each side of this square has “Space Captain” image depicting a helmeted spaceman. “Canada’s Greatest Gasolines!” text along bottom margin. Slots and tab for adjustment and wearing. Wings are die-cut and as such have some loose perforations. The left side (image 1) wings have some of the perforations perforated and the right side (image 1) slot is missing. This headband is in great condition with some folding on the right wing (image 1) and the slot missing from the right side as well (price reduced), please take a look at the images and if you have any questions please ask.
