Rowe - AMI Jukebox Wallbox MP3 Conversion - external electronicsI had been asked to put my electronics in a separate package by several people and will now offer that to others.
If you have a 1960's era Seeburg "Stereo Consolette" Wallbox similar to the one in the video, then look at my other auction because this one is made for a 200 selection Rowe wallbox. This can be used to turn it into a working jukebox. You can keep the coin mechanism intact or I can show you how to jumper it for freeplay. The internal speakers will be driven but you can also jack the output into a sound system of your choice (a computer/sub system works great). To test it I have loaded 200 hits from the 60's and most people find that perfect for their needs. I will also include the corresponding title strips. Plug it into a wall outlet, connect the 6 wires to the original terminal strip inside your wallbox and start enjoying the music.
You have to understand that there are 2 modes of operation. One is just as a jukebox always did, you punch the buttons, it plays that song followed by whatever other songs you might have punched in. It remembers them and plays them in order and then stops when there are no more selections. This mode was based on collecting money.
But I almost never play it that way myself. Money does not matter when you own it, so the second mode is to have it playing random selections, but if you punch in a particular song or songs, when that random song is over it will preferentially play the selected music and when they are gone it goes back to playing randomly. I leave it on the whole day if I am working on something and looking for background music.
Now that you understand that, understand that each wallbox can only select 200 songs directly which corresponded to 100 45 RPM records with 2 sides to each record that were in a nearby jukebox.
Well, in this implementation there is no jukebox needed, it plays whatever mp3 songs are on an SD card inside. This is important, in random mode it can play the 200 songs I have pre-loaded.
While most people find the 200 test selections to their liking, I know some have customized the music as well. I can provide you with instructions and answer questions, definitely doable, but you have to have some PC savvy. The music is on an SD card and the title strips can be created from a free online program and printed on your printer.
This will instantly become the focus of your man cave or she shed. When we can no longer go out to party, bring the party home.

Shipping is not a problem for this rugged unit but local pickup is always a good option.
If you choose "Buy-it-Now" I will work with you over the phone or via email to get your unit working, but I still can not guarantee it, unless I provide it, but it is my experience that 9 out of 10 work fine after a general cleaning. The coin rejectors can either be cleaned up or you can just jumper them out. Find who the local jukebox operators were in your area and you may find that they have them laying around in storage. If you do not need assistance or are buying multiple units, send me a lower offer to consider.
There are 2 other sources that I am aware of that offer conversion units but neither include the key transformer which is an expensive component nor do they offer an amplifier to drive the internal speakers as I do. They also do not include extensive directions for fixing your wallbox if it needs it nor do they provide phone support for that purpose or to provide title strips for the test songs. In the dozen I have built, I have yet to have a customer that has been unable to get this to work for them, most on the first try.
Note that this is for the
external electronics only
and
the wallbox you must supply
will operate as it did originally. The lighting also remains original.
