  • Condition: Some age of use markings on the front cover and back cover, and a water mark, but no rips or tears. The illustration board front and back covers have light shelf wear on the corners. No rips or tears or marks in the interior 26 pages either, and in really good condition for a sales board book that is over 78 years old. Please refer to the pictures posted for reference.

    This is an original sales presentation board that was used for the ESSO Motor Oil Company for training the ESSO service dealerships to market their ESSO Motor Oil.
    All 26 pages explain and promote the great aspects in performance of ESSO Motor Oil anytime, and also in the current needs of wartime driving conditions.
    The sales board have many illustrated pages with charts and drawings ranking different aspects of resistance tests and features comparatively between ESSO Motor Oil and other leading competitive premium-price oil of the time.
    Two of the pages with illustrated charts, also have personable handwritten notes further explaining the ranking specifications.
    The sales board pages explain how ESSO Marketers are following the Government's request for the present wartime in packaging and the difference in driving conditions for the vehicles during and after the war.
    There are also helpful explanations, informative charts, and colorful illustrations on the Representative Dealer Prices and Profit on ESSO Motor Oil over the other premium and regular priced oils of the time.
    The sales presentation board is over 78 years old, and is in great condition measuring 12' x 15" with 26 pages, and a copyright of 1943.
    From start to finish, this ESSO sales board is full of interesting, historical sales information used to promote the true greatness of ESSO Motor Oil, and is a rare find for the Petroliana
