    Description

    This is a rare employee item / outer space collectible from the 2012 launch of the EchoStar XVI satellite launch in Kazakhstan. I acquired them from a lost / undeliverable shipping auction.  It is a 3" solid pewter table medal, done in very high relief. Comes with the original box, velvet pouch, display stand and packaging.  The EchoStar corporation owns Dish Network and Sling TV.
    There is a lot of information on the internet regarding this notable satellite launch.
    An additional interesting fact about this particular communications satellite is that it includes an art installation designed for future human (or alien) explorers. The exhibit is called, "The Last Pictures," by artist Trevor Paglan.
