For years people have used oil on their tuners that doesn't stay where it's put, leaks onto wood, and quickly dries out, making tuners stick worse then if they were never oiled at all!  Worry no more, Shillington's Superior Miracle Cure Tuner Oil for Open Gear & Closed Back Tuners is comprised of a fully synthetic formula, that never dries out or breaks down, includes a corrosion inhibitor to fight chemical corrosion from hand oil or sweat, a microfiller to smooth uneven surfaces, and, thanks to our precision application tip, goes exactly where you need it, then stays where it's put.
To make any tuners work like new again, step 1) simply apply to your gears with the strings removed, step 2) spin the tuning keys until the oil is worked into the gears, and step 3) wipe away the excess. Depending on the time elapsed since oil was last added, you may need to give the oil time to soften built on grease and grime, wipe away contaminated oil, and repeat steps 1-3.
