ER16 collet chuck for use in SK40 (DIN 69871) spindle tooling systems - 160mm gauge length with standard nut. Balanced to G6.3 at 15,000RPM. ER collets are the world's most widely used clamping system, owing to their exceptional precision and strength when clamping cylindrical objects. Due to the manner in which the clamping force is exerted evenly around the tool from all directions, clamping using ER collet chucks does not suffer anything like the level of runout inherent with the use of most other tool holding systems and can be used in a wide array of high precision machining applications.
