Antique Chinese Child's Feeding Chair Stroller
This unusual child's seat was designed to function in many different ways.  You would use it as a play seat when the front shelf is intact. The round cutout in the front shelf is removable.  You would place bowl in the hole when the cutout is removed. Then this piece would then become a feeding chair. The entire top, as well as the seat can be taken out. With everything removed it is possible this chair became a wash tub. The sides are constructed with vertical slats and metal bands, very much like barrel or bucket construction. This would allow the chair to hold water, so the tub seems logical.
There are also 4 wooden wheels to allow for moving the chair with relative ease.
The piece is finished in a nice warm red lacquer. This piece is a wonderful conversation piece and we are selling it as such. We are not selling it to be used as it's original intent as it would not comply with current safety standards.
