    Description

    This pair of Antique Chinese Arm Chairs is made in elegant Ming style. Traditional Chinese calligraphy of "Double Happiness" design is hand-painted on the back splat of the chairs with gold color. Both the arms and the back splats are uniquely carved with deep curves. The front panels underneath the chairs are carved into the "arch" shape. The chairs are handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenon structure, which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Made from Elm wood with beautiful wood grain, the chairs are very solid and kept in excellent condition. Circa early to mid of 19th century. Original Wear and Patina.
