This 1969 Chevrolet C10 pickup is a complete, total custom build with a chopped top, shaved handles and trim, frenched antennae, 4-corner air ride, power disc/drum brakes, custom interior, massive wheels, and built 427ci V8 matched to an automatic overdrive transmission.
Paint is clean, neat, and catches looks at every car show and red light. Yes, it has a stone chip, scuff, and blemish here and there, but as you can see in the photos, it still shows incredibly well from all angles. Flames are painted on, and look fantastic, and everything shines glossy and bright thanks to multiple layers of clear, and many years of care. Trim and brightwork are all very nice, and contrast the paint perfectly. Glass is in great shape, with only the driver side vent window showing a tiny crack near the top. Chopped top is cleanly and professionally done, and with the cut down custom seats, I can easily fit my 5'11's in it with about 2 inches of headroom to spare when siting straight up. Headlamps, high beams, turn signals, marker lights, brake lamps, and backup light all work. The DROPSTARS 22 inch staggered custom wheels are MASSIVE, and are wrapped in fresh rubber size 265/35R22 up front, and 285/35R22 in back. A button down tonneau cover looks great, and protects the bed wood, and shaved handles, a frenched antennae, welded trim holes, frenched lights and more round out the exterior.
Inside, a complete custom bucket seat and center console system was fabricated for the truck, with low profile cushions and mounting to make sure even the tallest passengers have room. Leather and Ostrich skin adorns the seats, panels, and headliner, and it all shows wonderfully. Console holds the power antennae switch and aftermarket head unit with AM/FM/CD/MP3, and the original stereo is still intact on the dash. A new gauge cluster was installed and looks great, and a tri-pack of modern gauges were under dash mounted to monitor volts, oil, and water temp for accuracy. The factory fuel gauge is functional, as is the tach, but the speedo got stuck at 90 and is still pegged for some reason. Air ride controls are under the dash, and include a single dual-dial gauge and twin switches for front and rear controls. Stock climate controls now also work the Vintage A/C system, which cools the cab down almost TOO good! Factory tilt column has a factory steering wheel that looks great, and functional cruise control too. Carpeting is like new, and everything inside is clean, neat, and shows great.
Under the hood, a 427ci V8 has all the power you could ask for, without being unmanageable for daily use. It starts, idles, runs, drives, performs, and handles wonderfully, and the engine pulls strong through all gears and at all speeds. No hiccups, burbles, stutters or known issues at this time, and it hasn't leaked a drop of fluid during its time here. A giant aluminum radiator and hi-flow water pump keep it running cool, and it never went over 190, even when sitting with the A/C on for 20 minutes while I took all these pictures. It just doesn't get hot. A polished pulley system looks fantastic, and matches the polished compressor and alternator, and aluminum valve covers and air cleaner dress up the engine. It was made for daily driving and regular use, so don't expect a drag racing truck, just expect an easy to maintain and care for V8 that will still smoke a tire when you want to but won't have you wrenching more than driving. Chassis is clean and neat, and shows no sign of any rust, rot, or damage. It rides smooth, doesn't rattle, doesn't wander, and doesn't pull when braking. It is dialed in and ready to go, and I have put about 142 miles on it since it arrived without issue. If you want a killer truck that is equally fun at a show, or on a cruise, this is the one for you!
