    Description

    Vintage fold-out 1951 Esso road map of the Northeast United States, printed more than 69 years ago.
    The map opens to 24" x 33½" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by the General Drafting Company.
    The coverage area includes Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wisconsin.
    The map was distributed by Esso in 1951 and is dated in the legend.
    The handsome artwork on the front cover shows a convertible parked at a rustic roadside rest area.
